Welcome
Hello, and welcome to the LAB. My name is Christine Lemke. I am the new proprietor of this facility. You have probably seen me and other basketball events. I ventured into youth basketball activities about 20 years ago, starting with a local Phoenix Arizona East Valley YMCA. As mother of six active boys, I was inspired to pursue organized sports for them.
As my children advanced in their basketball skills, I got more involved in the sports programming.
In 2009 to 2014, AZ Prestige Competitive Boys Basketball Inc. was established and I directed that organization. Growth continued as I branched out with Site Direction for local Basketball Tournament organizations in Arizona such as: Just4Hoopin, Southwest Showcase, Phoenix is Rising, and Cinco De Mayo.
In the years to follow, I had the honor of working with prestigious national companies such as:
“Jam on It”, assisting the founder Matt Williams, with AAU competitions in Vegas and Arizona. I also collaborated with and assisted founders Rich and Kate McGuinness with the “Ladies Ball” Company, based out of Knoxville Tennessee. Today, I still work with the AAU Boys Basketball as a Representative for Arizona.
I have a big vision for making the LAB into a real Hub of community activity. I have branded “Zone In” to offer organizations guidance in American Athletic Union (AAU) programming directives and assist with membership benefits for players, coaches, and your organizations. I also serve as an advisor and guide on starting Club Ball team/organizations and helping to create fundraiser events for individual team needs. So, I hope you will reach out to me, if you have any questions or requests, and I encourage you to make the LAB your team home.
The future goals for "Zone In Basketball" is to organize community activities, at reasonable prices, to make “The Lab” more than just a Court rental facility. I hope to develop more Planned programming such as, but not limited to, Toddler-Time introduction to sports: Adult and player Yoga/Pilates/Zumba/Sport Training classes, Senior Healthcare Activities, CPR certification, and job training for the local youth. by encouraging the community to pitch in, and learn a new skill in the process.
